How this platform uses artificial intelligence.
In line with the EU AI Act (Art. 50), we tell you when you are interacting with an AI system and how it works. This platform uses AI only for its AI Search assistant; the rest of the catalogue and the evaluation tools do not generate content with AI.
The AI Search feature answers questions using a large language model that reads from the public Mission Ocean project catalogue (retrieval-augmented generation). It summarises and cites catalogue content — it is an assistant, not an authoritative source.
AI answers may be incomplete, out of date, or incorrect (“hallucinations”). Always check the cited sources and the dataset date before relying on an answer. The AI does not make any decision about proposals, evaluations, or people.
A person is always available. Under every AI answer you can reach our team, and evaluation decisions are made by human evaluators — never by the AI.
Do not enter personal, confidential, or secret information (passwords, tokens, health data) in your questions. Questions are processed only to generate an answer and are not used to train AI models. Personal data is handled per our Privacy Policy.
The AI features are covered by a Fundamental Rights Impact Assessment (FRIA) and aligned with the project’s Data Management Plan. Have a question about how we use AI, or want to exercise your data rights? Manage your account & privacy.
This notice is provided for transparency and may be updated as the platform evolves.
